چکیده
For the conversion of plant biomass into various bioproducts, a significant bottleneck is enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocelluloses to soluble sugars. These sugars are then metabolized through various natural or engineered pathways toward products of interest. The success of projected biorefinery processes depend to a large extent on the economics of hydrolytic enzyme production. Investigating Cellulase Producing Potential of Two Iranian Thermoascus aurantiacus Isolates in Submerged Fermentation
Cellulose is the most plentiful renewable biopolymer in nature which could be utilized by cellulolytic enzymes. Cellulases are among the most important groups of industrial enzymes which are widely consumed in biofuel production, pulp and paper, textile, and detergent industries. These enzymes can support a cleaner environment through reducing chemical processes in mentioned industries and agro...
متن کاملExpression of genes encoding cellulolytic enzymes in some Aspergillus species.
Fermentation is an important industrial process for microbial metabolite development and has wide applications in various fields. Aspergillus is the most important genus of fungi used for the production of microbial enzymes such as cellulase. The Aspergillus genome encodes various cellulolytic enzymes. In this study, we assayed the gene expression and cellulolytic enzyme production of three iso...
متن کاملPRODUCTION, RELEASE AND THERMAL CHARACTERIZATION OF CELLULOLYTIC ENZYME FROM CELLULOMONAS sp. STRAIN "0"
Cellulase production by a Cellulomonas sp., isolated in 1985 from forest humus soil along the border of the Caspian Sea in Iran, was investigated. This strain secreted endo-and exo-cellulases in the culture medium, but some of the enzymes produced remained cell membrane bound. Cell bound enzymes were released by various treatments. The highest amount of endo-glucanase (up to 95%) and exo-gl...
متن کاملNanomaterials Immobilized Cellulolytic Enzymes and their Industrial Applications: A Literature Review
The immobilization of cellulolytic enzymes via nanosupport minimizes the problem of steric hindrances between enzyme and carrier, as it has been frequently observed in case of enzymes immobilized on the surface of bulk supports. Cellulolytic enzymes immobilized on the surface of nanomaterials or entrapped inside polymeric nanospheres showed high catalytic efficiency and yield of immobilization....
متن کاملIsolation, Identification and Metabolic Characteriz- Ation of Cellulolytic Enzyme Producing Bacteria from Banana Pseudostem Waste Using Phenotypic Microarray Technology
The purpose of this study was to isolate cellulolytic enzyme producing bacteria which may able to utilize banana pseudostem as sole carbon source for production of cellulolytic enzymes. This was attempted by isolating 10 bacteria from banana pseudostem waste. Out of the screened, isolate NAULH-5 showed high cellulolytic activity. The isolate NAULH-5 produced highest 5.97 U/mg endoglucanase, 2.2...
متن کاملEffects of tea saponin on glucan conversion and bonding behaviour of cellulolytic enzymes during enzymatic hydrolysis of corncob residue with high lignin content
BACKGROUND Recently, interest in the utilization of corncob residue (CCR, with high lignin of 45.1%) as a feedstock for bioethanol has been growing. Surfactants have been one of the most popular additives intended to prevent the inhibitory effect of lignin on cellulolytic enzymes, thereby improving hydrolysis. In this study, the effects of biosurfactant tea saponin (TS) on the enzymatic hydroly...
